IES WELCOMES NEW DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT
THE LUMINAIRES GROUP ACQUIRES LUMINAIRE LED
 Montreal, Quebec-based The Luminaires Group (TLG) has acquired Luminaire Led Inc., a New Jersey-based manufacturer of durable and vandal-resistant LED lighting solutions. Focused on rugged design and reliability, the Luminaire Led product o ering will complement the TLG portfolio of award-winning brands.
Luminaire Led will operate as a stand-alone division and maintain its operations in Edison, New Jersey. It will continue to be managed by company president Ron Lipson.
“We are executing on a strategy of acquisition that brings speci c competences to the group,” says Christian B. Fabi, president of TLG. “Luminaire Led is recognized for its advanced engineering and rigorous testing techniques that enable the development of products that stand up to the harshest of environments.”
Luminaire Led has specialized in vandal- resistant lighting for 40 years, serving a segment of the lighting market that presents unique challenges such as schools, con nement and health facilities, transportation stations, and other demanding environments.
“We will continue to maintain our separate agent networks and distribution channels to ensure that customers continue to receive
the best service possible,” Lipson adds. “By joining the group, Luminaire Led will bene t from additional expertise, so we can continue to innovate in product development. For TLG, there is an opportunity to enter new markets.”
TLG now comprises  ve niche brands focused on design, innovation and function in various lighting industry sectors.
 Shayna Bramley will be assuming a new position – Director of Development – with the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) starting in January 2019.
This new role will lead and manage all IES actions and promotions related to development, marketing, and communications. She is also responsible for implementing strategies to bridge education, standards, research, and membership.
Bramley is a graduate of Penn State University, earning Bachelor’s
Northwest Energy E ciency Alliance (NEEA), among others.
Bramley has been an IES member since college, where she served as PSU Chapter President. Over the years she has worked as an electrical engineer, manufacturer’s sales rep, owned a lighting & electrical design  rm, and taught as an educator for several large lighting and lighting control manufacturers. More recently, she was the entrepreneur who created iQ Education,

and Master’s degrees in Architectural Engineering with a Lighting/Electrical emphasis. She is also a graduate
of the University of Florida, where she received her Master’s degree in Business Administration.
In addition, Bramley has accumulated numerous lighting industry credentials including Professional Engineer-Power
(PE), Lighting Certi ed Designer (LC) from the National Council
on Quali cations for Lighting Professionals (NCQLP), Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP), Certi ed Energy Manager (CEM) & Certi ed Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP) from the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), NXT Level I Certi cation from
learning management systems for the Lighting & Electrical industry.
